We had a great start with the Mini Your work Show.  We had over 90 Artists, and over 200 pieces on display.  Check out our facebook page for pictures.

Now, we would like to do a Portrait show!

Since Utrecht’s inception in 1949, we have been dedicated to furthering artistic ideals and integrity through the manufacture of high quality materials and providing fair costs. Continuing this, we present “The Portraiture Show”! Join us for the opening reception where you can help promote your portraits to the public and maybe make a little money too.  Prizes will be awarded during the opening on April 30^th, 2009.  Great discounts will be given to all submitting artists.  All the proceeds of artwork sales will go directly to you.   

Eligibility:-          Open to all artists of any level-          Submissions must have been created in the last 5 years-          Artwork must be 11”x14” in height or width (including mating and framing)-          Artwork must be appropriate for all ages.-          Artwork must be hand delivered by the artist, no shipped or emailed entries.-          Artwork must be hang-ready when submitted.  -          All artwork submitted must be the original (no copies or glichees) Submission Guidelines:-          Artists may submit up to two (2) entries with a non-refundable entry fee of $4 per piece (check, cash, or credit cards – no money orders) Actual artwork is to be submitted to Utrecht Art Supplies during normal store hours from March 26^th, 2009 through April 23^rd 2009.-          You will be supplied with entry forms when you drop off your artwork.  -          Each piece needs to have a sale price or be marked “NFS” (not for sale) on the entry form.   

Prizes:-          There will be three prizes given out during the opening reception.  -          First place: $50 gift card.-          Second place: $25 gift card.-          Community pick: $20 gift card. Important Dates:-          March 26^th through April 23^nd 2009- Hand deliver artwork during normal store hours for jury process.-          April 23^rd 2009 - Notification of acceptance/rejection. (the decisions are non-negotiable)-          April 23^rd through April 30^th 2009 - pick up for non-selected submissions.-          April 23^rd through April 30^th 2009 - judging for the community pick winner.-          April 30^th, 2009, 7-9pm- Opening reception and awards presentation.

-          May 7^th trough May 14^th 2009 Hand retrieval of artwork during normal store hours.
